This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Trademark Paralegal in Canada.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled legal professional with deep expertise in trademark and copyright processes under the US legal system. You will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of intellectual property filings, from preparing and submitting USPTO trademark and copyright applications to handling TTAB proceedings and office action responses. The position offers the opportunity to work with complex legal matters, supporting client onboarding and case management while collaborating with US-based attorneys. You will leverage tools like Lawmatics, CLIO, and Westlaw to streamline workflows and maintain organizational efficiency. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to supporting legal operations. You will have a meaningful impact on clients’ IP portfolios while operating in a structured, remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities:

Prepare, file, and manage USPTO trademark and US Copyright applications, including related documentation.

Draft and respond to USPTO Office Actions and participate in TTAB proceedings.

Conduct legal research using Westlaw and assist with federal court filings as needed.

Manage client intake, onboarding, and conversion processes to ensure seamless engagement.

Maintain case management and organizational efficiency using platforms such as Lawmatics and CLIO.

Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity best practices throughout all legal processes.

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal supporting US-based clients.

Proven expertise with USPTO trademark filings, US Copyright applications, and TTAB proceedings.

Proficiency in legal research and case management tools, including Westlaw, Lawmatics, and CLIO.

Strong understanding of data protection and cybersecurity principles as they relate to legal operations.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work proactively, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients.
