Senior Treasury Analyst

OVERVIEW

The Senior Analyst will be a key member of the Instacart Treasury team. This role will support the treasury operations functions and collaborate with the Accounting, Tax, FP&A and Legal teams. This position requires a self-starter who can foster relationships, and drive improvements throughout the cash team’s daily operational processes. It is imperative that solid business judgement, data analytics, attention to detail and problem solving is upheld to the highest degree. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to proactively anticipate, identify, and communicate risks and recommendations to the Senior Manager, Treasury Operations. 

ABOUT THE JOB

• Support the administration of company’s global cash position and global cash flow forecast, monitoring and building on a consolidated and entity level
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of wire transfers
• Manage intercompany relationships, cash flow analysis and settlements
• Manage excess cash and maximize return on investments in compliance with Instacart’s investment policy
• Partner with Tax, Legal, and Accounting teams to execute capitalizations, intercompany loans, intercompany settlements, and other projects
• Interface with banking partners and drive bank fee analysis and cost reductions
• Assist in the digital transformation of Treasury, helping develop analytics and business intelligence frameworks to drive scalability and efficiency
• Assist with preparing Bank KYC documentation requests
• Act as bank portal administrator and perform database management in treasury workstation
• Support key treasury initiatives such as: technology evaluation, bank service review, and M&A activities
• Liaise with SOX and external audit teams to ensure compliance with Treasury controls
• Implement treasury policies to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree preferred
• MBA, CTP or other professional designation a plus
• 4 to 6 years of work experience in corporate treasury
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Self-starter with a desire to quickly learn and excel; willing and able to start, oversee and complete projects with minimal supervision
• Continuous improvement mindset, excellent communication, and effective collaboration skills across all levels
