The Senior Workday Financials Lead will be a technical expert on our IT team to ensure ongoing setup and rationalization of Workday financial system configurations to allow for finance team users to maintain efficiency and complete and accurate financial reporting. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures success of any technical system configurations within Workday financial modules

• Partners with finance leadership and finance module leadership to understand configuration needs for system/business processes required by the finance team

• Monitors current configurations to ensure we are operating under best practice of the system

• Expert in setting up and building Workday EIB’s required to do mass accounting data loads into the system

• Forward thinker regarding system configurations and setups as we grow the business with new store and business acquisitions

•  Co-lead and be heavily engaged in planning and execution of these acquisitions into Workday successfully

• Oversees key controls assigned and segregation of duties in configuration build outs. 

• Involvement and oversight in the Workday release management process

• Support financial team in meeting our close calendar for public company financial reporting

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of Workday Finance Implementation and Configuration experience required in the modules for which we operate.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or MIS degree strongly preferred; alternatively, Mathematics or Computer Programming degree required

• Experience with performing technical configuration consultations on multiple implementations of Workday financials modules. Multi module experience includes the following finance modules we operate; FDM, General Ledger, Close and Consolidation, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Procurement, Cash Management, Financial Report Writing, and Adaptive. 

• Workday Certification completions in multiple Workday Financials Modules

• Implementation experience of Workday in Latin America (specifically Mexico)

• Bilingual

• Experience operating under SOX for internal control of financial reporting requirements
