Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$89,200.00 - $147,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Our Content Marketing Team ensures our websites facilitate a modern and engaging web experience that delivers on our target audiences' expectations. As the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for managing content and website optimization initiatives designed to attract quality organic website traffic and help drive business success through search optimization efforts. You will leverage your SEO strategic planning experience to identify new content opportunities for a team of Content Marketers and consult them on SEO best practices for content creation. You will be responsible for contributing to and implementing Travelers SEO strategy road map.What Will You Do?

• Partner with external SEO consulting firm to identify SEO issues and recommend tactics to improve Travelers online visibility and search rankings for target keywords and grow organic search traffic.
• Develop effective keyword targeting strategy, prioritize SEO content initiatives, and execute planned SEO tactics to maximize organic reach and engagement.
• Manage implementation and quality assurance of ongoing optimization efforts of SEO consultants, including keyword research, on-page optimizations, landing page optimization, and conversion optimization.
• Review content and provide optimization feedback to editors and freelancers to create high-quality content around relevant search terms.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Digital Enablement to execute technical SEO roadmap items and provide technical SEO requirements in order to deliver continuous site improvements.
• Utilize data to report on effectiveness of SEO efforts, and address areas of opportunity in collaboration with SEO Consultants and the Web Analytics Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Four years of professional work experience in marketing related field.
• Four years of experience as a SEO Manager or similar role.

What is a Must Have?

• Strong understanding of SEO and Content Marketing strategy, and experience running SEO programs.
• Working knowledge of web analytics, SEO tools, Google Analytics, Core Metrics, Excel, as well as A/B and other testing methods.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to ensure timely completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
• Strong ability to connect with and effectively build relationships in a cross-functional team to complete project goals.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and provide insights and recommendations to business partners.
• Ability to think strategically and use sound judgement to resolve issues as they arise.
