SEO Product Manager

We are looking for an exceptional Product Manager to join our team and help build the next generation of financial products. This role will own SEO for the product team to help support the organic growth of our tools and content featured on our primary web domain SmartAsset.com and financial directory site SmartAdvisorMatch.com.

Responsibilities: 

• Build and deliver products. Support the implementation and rollout features involving SEO
• Get to know your customer – Research, analyze data, and review industry best practices to deliver the best user experience.
• Drive a strategic vision – Manage organic growth projects aimed at developing the largest personal finance audience on the web
• Manage complexity – Manage requirements documentation related to technical SEO using advanced tools and practices
• Lead the charge – Work closely with internal Marketing and Technology teams to define scope and prioritize features for product development.

• You have a strong understanding and proven track record executing SEO and organic growth strategies within the organization
• You have strong analytical skills and the ability to dig deep into complex data sets using excel and other analytic tools
• You are an exceptional communicator. You can explain complex concepts in simple terms and know how to build consensus around ideas.
• You have a passion for innovative and experience-focused products. You understand the importance of prioritizing for user experience and have a keen sense for intuitive, simple products that make users happy.
• Experience with the following is required:
  • Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • SEMRUSH/Ahrefs, other relevant SEO tools 

• 3-5+ years experience in leading multiple SEO projects, with contending resources and priorities.  Shown success of delivering these projects on deadline and within budget.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and drive results
• 3-5+ years experience writing user stories, requirements, and documentation as a product owner in an Agile/SCRUM software development environment
• Experience with the following is preferred
  • SQL and/or Python
  • Tableau or similar BI tools
