SEO & Trending Writer and Editor

In The Know Network, a Gen Z and millennial lifestyle brand with 22 million monthly comScore uniques, is looking for an Editor with experience in trending and SEO content. The ideal candidate is an experienced editor with 3+ years of experience working in digital media. They should be adept at tracking trends that appeal to Gen Z and millennials and should have a proven track record of finding and creating content that is smart, accurate, and SEO-friendly.
The Editor will report to the Deputy Editor and will create content geared toward Gen Z and millennials. They are proficient in content management systems, especially WordPress. The ideal candidate has experience with SEMrush, Buffer, and Google Trends. Knowledge of how to write keyword-centric articles designed for search is essential!
Responsibilities

• Source, pitch and write high-performing trending content and distribute content across platforms using social tools
• Create SEO articles to target the Gen Z audience and monitor SEO performance
• Source and pitch content from social media platforms and forums for third-party contributors.
• Pitch ideas and write longer-form pieces centered on content initiatives and pillar months throughout the year.
• Optimize titles and thumbnails for search and social. Collaborate with the larger In The Know editorial team and video team on best practices for search.
• Collaborate with In The Know trending content team on reaching traffic goals by attending weekly trending content meetings
• Write copy for branded content on an as-needed basis

• You have a well-loved list of sources for finding the best up and coming content
• You're detail-oriented and able to hit deadlines

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• 3+ years of publishing, digital media, and/or trending content experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Fluency in Wordpress, SEMrush, Google Analytics and Google Trends
• Knowledge of a range of social platforms and digital distribution partners
