The Opportunity
Are you ready to electrify your career and power up your sales expertise? Hitachi Energy is on the lookout for a dynamic Service Sales Specialist to join our team and drive the growth of our service customer base, covering the North of England/Scotland. Reporting to the Sales and Tendering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of selling service and maintenance agreements, as well as our advanced digital offerings and lifecycle projects.

How you'll make an impact
- Client Whisperer: Evaluate client enquiries, interpret their needs, and assess commercial terms to deliver tailored solutions.
- Bid Master: Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations with the perfect mix of products and technical considerations.
- Collaboration Pro: Work closely with the tendering team to manage all aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation process.
- Risk & Opportunity Spotter: Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract agreements across customers and channels.
- Vendor Evaluator: Scout potential vendors and evaluate supplier offers in collaboration with Supply Chain Management.
- Relationship Builder: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, providing technical support to Sales Managers during meetings.
- Global Networker: Work across different business streams, cultures, and countries to build a network of relationships.
- Sales Dynamo: Visit customer sites, conduct face-to-face sales meetings, and perform site surveys to identify and meet client requirements.
Your background
- Proven sales experience focused on new business generation with a strong track record of winning new customers.
- Experience in selling services rather than products.
- Recognised engineering qualification (minimum HNC) preferred.
- Knowledge of High Voltage (HV) (400kV-132kV) and Medium Voltage (MV) (66kV-11kV) and industrial substation experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Office365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
