Vantor is seeking a motivated Engineer to support the development maintenance and enhancement of automated monitoring metrics data collection and real time dashboards within a mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Linux-based systems scripting with Bash and building operational dashboards using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana). This role is well-suited for a junior to mid-level engineer looking to expand their automation and observability expertise while supporting critical national security missions. 

• Develop maintain and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments. 

• Create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration application log gathering metrics displays. 

• Develop and maintain job orchestration tools for data flows 

• Design build and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Kibana. 

• Support Elasticsearch data ingestion indexing and search optimization activities. 

• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements. 

• Collaborate with system administrators developers and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions. 

• Assist with log analysis troubleshooting and operational reporting. 

• Document automation processes procedures and technical configurations. 

• Participate in system testing deployment and sustainment activities. 

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring observability and automation. 

• Active TS/SCI security clearance. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. 

• Security+ Certification 

• 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering automation DevOps software development or related technical roles. 

• Experience working with Linux operating systems (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu or similar). 

• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration tasks. 

• Experience with the ELK Stack including:  

  • Elasticsearch 

  • Kibana dashboard development 

  • Logstash or data ingestion pipelines 

• Familiarity with system monitoring log aggregation and operational analytics. 

• Understanding of networking fundamentals operating systems and troubleshooting methodologies. 

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills. 

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages. 

• Experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments. 

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices. 

• Experience working in DoD Intelligence Community or other classified environments. 

• Experience working in Agile development.

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience qualifications skills location and market conditions. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience expertise and alignment with the role.
