The mission of the Yahoo Mobile Platforms org is to enable all mobile users to access various key platforms services on all of their mobile devices. We develop consumer facing experiences with iOS and Android SDKs and integrate with 50+ Yahoo apps to provide all our Yahoo users a unified and reliable way to sign in/out their accounts, manage/recover accounts, manage payments, receive push notifications etc. In addition, we build iOS and Android SDKs to help Yahoo apps to manage and measure their user analytics, user engagement, productivity and performance analytics, quality, crashes etc. We take pride in driving innovations such as password free login using Push notifications or QR codes which eliminates the need for account passwords, putting the user's experience first and setting a standard for the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Building and delivering high quality and high performance features for mobile SDKs using Android (on Mobile Phones or tablets, TV, Watch)
• Collaborating with user experience designers, product managers, and other talented engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Growing in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews
• Analyze and optimize application code and/or APIs for efficiency and performance
• Passionate about mobile apps and SDKs development

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related major, or equivalent experience
• Experience with mobile apps development on Android
• Experience with mobile SDKs or API development

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in building complex applications on Android phones/tablets/TV/Watch using Kotlin or Java
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Roboelectric
• Experience with functional testing frameworks such as Espresso, Appium
• The desire to improve and learn more

Bonus points if you have

• Published an app to the Google Play Store
• Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and other developers to create a truly delightful mobile experience
