The Role

• The Software Architect plays a key role in developing technical programs at Bloomerang. They are hands-on technologists who develop high-level product specifications with specific attention to system integration, parameters and standards. They collaborate with engineering in an Agile software development life cycle and improve code quality for products at scale.

Duties/Responsibilities

• A solid technical background to quickly understand the complexities of our enterprise SaaS products.
• Ability to leverage modern software architecture, design patterns, and solutions to increase value of a strong platform.
• A mindset of continuous learning and development.
• Aptitude to create effective proofs of concepts and rapid prototypes to drive needs of a rapidly evolving business.
• Effectiveness in collaboration across technical and non-technical teams with an open-minded approach.
• Ability to effectively architect for greenfield products/features and assist with existing code bases.
• Ability to execute software development best practices that encourage high levels of security and performance.   

What Does It Take

• 5+ years of software development experience for web-based products at scale
• 3+ years of enterprise software architecture
• Strong depth of knowledge in object-oriented programming, preferably in C#
• Experience with innovation and prototype development required
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environment
• Ability to communicate concisely and with precision
• Experience with cloud-based technologies

Location 

This is a full-time, permanent position, either fully remote or based in our Indianapolis HQ. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
