About the role:
The USA Regional Experiences team’s mission is to grow the US remittance send business by improving the customer experience across the moments that matter most - onboarding payment and disbursement. As an engineer on the team you'll apply your front-end-leaning full-stack skillset to the customer challenges that matter most for growing Remitly's USA business - delighting the customer segments most critical to that growth. Your work will directly improve the lives of immigrants and their families sending money from the United States while helping build the next generation of trusted borderless financial services.
You Will:Develop high-quality reusable and scalable code involving multiple technologies (React Native TypeScript Go Java/Kotlin AWS) delivering well-tested observable documented efficient scalable and resilient solutions with a customer-centric mindset.
Develop prototypes rapidly to solve complex problems.
Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to deliver faster while maintaining quality and security standards.
Collaborate with other engineers product managers designers and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.
Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
Contribute to code reviews sprint rituals hiring and mentoring.
Report to the Engineering Manager of the USA Regional Experiences team.
Strong computer science web and native app fundamentals and knowledge of design patterns.
3+ years of software development experience.
1+ years of React or React Native development experience.
Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript JavaScript Kotlin Java Go.
Knowledge of basic architecture systems design and agile practices.
Excellent collaboration skills.
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $144000-$180000. In the U.S. Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
