Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 and goes up to $150,000, based on what we are asking you to do, and your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits have an estimated value of $21,000 annually. So, you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not always all it's cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work occasionally from home. We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!
Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. We have a need for all of the usual suspects as it pertains to Software Development. We are seeking highly motived, team-oriented Senior Software Engineers to be part of a cross-functional team with continued expansion into DoD and commercial spaces. We have work dedicated to Cloud environments, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Database Administration, Java, and Internal Applications. We’re looking for forward leaning technologists who have a pension for automation and strive to not only get the most out of extending Cameo Systems Modeler with plug-ins, Jira, Cassandra, GitHub, Microsoft Power BI, Java, and other leading-edge tools, but integrate them for a streamlined and secure development.
What does this mean to you? Any experience utilizing tools associated with CI/CD environments, including Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, GitHub, Gitlab is highly desirable. Our ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in information systems, engineering, computer science, or related field plus at least five (5) years of industry experience. Preferred working knowledge of web and data application frameworks are also advantageous:

• 5+ years of experience with C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with APIs, including SOAP or REST
• Experience with database design and development, including SQL, Cassandra, Derby, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Experience with software development, including Agile development
• Knowledge of standards-based Web development, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Experience with web frameworks, including Jakarta, Angular, Vue, or React
• Knowledge of web design principles, including navigation, usability, and accessibility
• Experience working as an integral part of a team with solid delivery expertise
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance and some certifications such as:

• DataStax Professional Certification on Apache Cassandra
• OMG Certified System Modeling Professional Model User
• Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer
• Certified Scrum Developer
• CompTIA Security+
• AWS Certified Machine Learning
• AWS Data Analytics
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
