This position supports existing software in the various Yahoo Ad Tech SSP stacks to accelerate and enhance our clients objectives and goals.

About You
The Yahoo Adtech SSP team is looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about large-scale, large-user base, website development. You must demonstrate a go-getter attitude to drive solutions to problems. You must be able to foster teamwork, promote team collaboration and communication, and gauge project progress.
Your Day
Design, develop, code and test software or applications for software enhancements and new products. Examples vary widely from time series data management to pub-sub messaging to services deployment.
Analyze and improve scalability, latency, stability and security in Yahoo's Ad Tech SSP platform. Design and develop key pieces of our applications' feature rich cloud based solution. .
Participate in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of systems
Recommend modifications to processes and procedures, and contribute to best practices, architecture, and implementations
Promote and solicit ideas within project teams.
Requirements

• You are passionate about highly-scalable, distributed, Cloud based environments.
• At least 3-5 years of knowledge in Java frameworks such as Spring, MyBatis and others.
• You have strong programming and debugging skills.
• A Solid understanding of object oriented programming.
• Experience with automated, build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Ansible and other related tools. .
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of RDBMS and general database concepts.
• Familiar with software design methods and techniques
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The compensation for this position ranges from $79,500.00 - $168,125.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
