Our innovative ad tech gives one stop access to Yahoo, inc. trusted data, high quality inventory and demand, creative ad experiences and industry-leading machine learning, at global scale. Consumer Monetization team's charter is to Find, Evaluate, Build, and Scale new monetization, subscription and internal campaign tools and products, ad formats and functionalities across all Yahoo brands including Yahoo Homepage, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News and AOL. This team is uniquely positioned to identify growth and revenue generation opportunities, design and implement solutions across consumer products and advertising platforms including video, display, native, and search.
A lot about you:
As a software engineer on our core server infrastructure team, you will be working with product managers and other software engineers in agile teams to build our next-generation Ads and monetization APIs by implementing business-critical features and setting standards that will help define the future products.

• Design, build and maintain scalable and robust APIs
• Performance optimizations on the backend with highly challenging SLAs
• Ensure system responsiveness, robustness and high availability on our Ads Serving APIs
• Directly impact our generated revenue by implementing critical business features
• Improve our CI/CD pipeline to ensure constant production delivery of high-quality features
• Participate in design and code reviews and facilitate quality and performance improvements
• Improve our automated tests suite in terms of speed and accuracy

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated Expertise with Java and related technologies, eg. Spring/Jersey etc.
• Deep understanding of Java/J2EE and other supporting back-end technologies
• Experience with unit and integration testing and writing clean code
• Understanding of REST APIs, OOP, and related standard methodologies
• Proficient knowledge of relational database techniques and no-sql high performance data stores
• Delivered results in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as on a team
