Software Engineer - Golang

**Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote for candidates based in the US and will be a 12 month contract position**

Job Summary

As a Full Stack Engineer you will be a member of the team and get the opportunity to work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.

What your impact will be:

• Developing practical easy-to-use tooling and processes

• Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development testing and build systems

• Improving the performance and usability of existing tools and automated systems

• Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable secure and operationally sound tools and systems

• Documenting and evangelizing tooling for use by engineers for the development testing and packaging of their products

What you will bring :

• Experience with Golang Python Kubernetes GitHub Actions Terraform and Packer

• Strong experience in eliminating tedious work for all engineers

• Experience with frontend development utilizing React

• Experience with major cloud providers: AWS Azure and Google Cloud

• Familiarity with microservice distributed and event-driven architectures

• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment

• Experience developing implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills

• Experience with Observability Systems

• Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes

• In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies

• In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies

• Experience working within a “you build it you own it” culture

Compensation (DOE/Location): $60-80/hr. max
