Job Description
FloQast is looking for a motivated Platform Software Engineer that will play a key contributor role in shipping core platform services on the front and back end that allow FloQast engineers to ship quickly. This individual will help identify engineering opportunities that will delight our customers and developers and build solutions that exceed their quality expectations. The ideal candidate has been involved with creating a spectacular internal development platform, framework, or core services set and has both the vision to reach for the stars and the maturity to pragmatically achieve incremental progress. They are driven by removing roadblocks for their fellow engineers and supporting quick development without compromising performance, stability, maintainability, and security.
FloQast is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and we seek US-based REMOTE candidates.

What You'll Do
- Continuously improve our engineering process, tools, and systems to increase the team's ability to do more with less
- Build high quality core services that enable user focused experiences from the ground up with React, NodeJS, and MongoDB
- Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, Lambda, and Step Functions to get features to market quickly and efficiently
- Collaborate on our technical vision. Participate or lead discussions and implementation on multiple complex projects
- Continuously act on our developers’ feedback, data, and growth needs to epitomize an agile environment by always working on the most important things
- Fully own or pair on vertically sliced features through the full SDLC including code review, deployments, and production support of our applications and external API
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of professional full stack experience doing internal developer platforms,
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, NodeJS and MongoDB. Being able to think and develop in their patterns and practices. The more the better.
- Ability to quickly turn developer feedback into engineering solutions
Nice to haves
- Have experience building a software platform and framework
- B2B SaaS experience
- Practice TDD, BDD, or use of code coverage

This job posting is for our Software Engineer III level, the base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, Unlimited Vacation, and participation in our Employee Stock Program. FloQast reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
