Software Engineer, Intern (Summer ‘23)

A large focus of this team is working on many of the most exciting challenges at Lattice, including scaling and creating a cohesive product. This team and role are excellent for anyone who loves variety and the opportunity to have a big impact.

As an intern at Lattice, you’ll be an integral member of the Engineering team, working and learning alongside our talented team members. This is a full time summer internship for 40 hours/week for a period of 12 weeks.

• You’ll support one or more experienced engineers in the performance of assignments
• You’ll spend time shadowing actual operations and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.
• You’ll work within a cross-functional team partnering together from ideation to developing proof of concepts and ultimately launching a product for our customers.
• You'll work with other engineers to develop creative solutions to challenges building 0 to 1 products or iterating on a mature product to make it more scalable and maintainable.
• You’ll work with other engineers to build and own products across a modern tech stack. Our current stack includes Typescript, React, Relay Modern, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL. We rely on AWS to host our infrastructure.
• You’ll make contributions to our engineering practices, identifying and evangelizing improvements to improve our team output.

• Actively pursuing a full-time degree, bootcamp, or education in Engineering or Engineering  related fields
• You’ve worked with modern programming languages like JavaScript, Ruby, Python, etc.
• You’ve worked with databases— you know how to model data and write queries in a DBMS like PostgreSQL.

• You have the ability to work well with designers and product managers to come up with novel solutions. 
• You enjoy taking an active role in the development process and strive to continuously improve engineering practices.
• You love supporting other software engineers of varying experience levels.
• A commitment to the 12 week, 40hrs a week Internship
