The Opportunity

Employer: USAA Federal Savings Bank

Tasks: Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role. Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. Follow written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities. Design, develop, code, and test significant technical solutions collaborating with senior and lead engineers. Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning at a team level. Organize work and lead team to deliver features and solutions. Resolve complex production issues and lead troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems. Mentor and coach junior engineers. Work with architecture to help influence directions for key technologies within a specific domain. (SWESR.SA.FSB.1)

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 3 years of experience in an engineering-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. REST frameworks;

2. API Development;

3. Agile methodology;

4. Javascript;

5. Springboot;

6. Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ;

7. OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes;

8. Relational database design and optimization with Oracle DB2, MySQL, Couchbase or Postgres;

9. Designing and developing automated test framework; and

10. Integrating with backend services like JMS, J2C, ORM frameworks, Hibernate, or JDBC.
