About the Role:

We are seeking motivated and curious Software Engineering Interns to join our fastpaced team. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers, collaborate on exciting projects, and gain practical experience in software development, coding, testing, and problem-solving. Here is what to expect in your paid 3 month internship.

Month 1 - Working with our mobile app development and deployment teams, you will spend the first month learning and understanding the app lifecycle.

Month 2 - Once you have gained an understanding of the app creation and publication process, you will learn how to make minor changes to the app and begin testing it. As you test each app, you will also learn how to document your findings and review them with your team. Throughout the implementation process, you will have the opportunity to create or edit documentation to improve any process you work on.

Month 3 - By the end of the internship, you will have gained vital experience in how developers work on day-to-day tasks. This includes participating in daily standups, updating JIRA tickets, and joining cross-team meetings via Zoom. You will also become comfortable with navigating XCode and Android Studio to create, edit, test, and publish mobile apps to the app store.

This is Full-Time, Remote Internship.

Software Engineering Intern Responsibilities:

  • Learn about the company's technology stack, tools, and processes your team uses on a daily basis.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Product, and Design, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in testing efforts, including unit testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
  • Create clear and concise documentation for processes, and procedures to aid in knowledge sharing and future development.
  • Learn and follow technical best practices and standards Participate in learning opportunities within the company
  • Maintain a positive and respectful culture

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities in a Software Engineering Intern:

  • Passion for software development, technology, and problem-solving.
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Bootcamp Certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Experience building software. Personal or Academic Projects are welcomed!
  • An understanding of the full lifecycle of software development
  • Strong communication and writing skills Knowledge of software development practices, version control systems, and Engineering concepts.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
