What you will do:

We’re looking for an experienced (or senior) backend engineer to join the engineering team. You’ll be working alongside a highly technical and motivated team and report to one of our Engineering Managers in the Tech Organization. You would be expected to apply fundamental engineering to solve problems and overcome challenges, that help streamline the business process and not just develop code.

The Corporate Engineering Team sits at the center of the company’s internal technology organization. Our responsibilities entail enhancing all areas of business with engineering principles. These problems entail (but are not limited to) data pipeline integration, internal customer support automation, Scorecard score corrections, internal KPI/analytic Dashboard, maintaining internal intranet infrastructure, etc. Our backend engineers primarily work with Python. We have a very large but clean code base as we emphasize design patterns, code readability, testability, maintainability, and extensibility.

Who you are:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, an equivalent STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
• You have at least 3 years of creating software running on a cloud environment using Python, Postgres, or similar RDS, and Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS as we work with serverless technologies and asynchronous workflow. (EC2, Lambda, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners and independently drive projects and decisions
• Have worked with relational databases with a preference for PostgreSQL
• Specific experience with automation and efficient batch processing would be an asset
