The Opportunity

The Software Integration Engineer is a newly created, full-time position which works out of our Irving, TX location in IACC (Immunoassay Clinical Chemistry) / Diagnostics Division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our integrations, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

As the Software Integration Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Representing software integration throughout the Software Development Lifecycle following customer workflow.
• Performing all the SQA functions (integration case creation and execution, exploratory testing, integration test plan and integration test report creation).
• Heavily interacting with the development, quality & software testing teams to ensure the right integration testing is being written and executed.

What You'll Work On:

• Complete software integration and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process.
• Create, execute, and review software integration test cases following customer workflow.

• Investigate and report unexpected events, issues, or software bugs. Verify fixes.

• Perform exploratory testing and system level end to end integration incorporating customer day-to-day scenarios.

• Create verification and validation test integration plans, test integration reports, trace metrics and review with relevant stakeholders.
• Travel requirement: minimal.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies

• Moderate level of understanding of integration methodologies

• Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

Preferred / Ideal / Optional Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years' med tech experience
• Experience with Alinity C or Alinity S
