The Opportunity
The Software Integration Engineer is a newly created, full-time position which works out of our Irving, TX location in IACC (Immunoassay Clinical Chemistry) / Diagnostics Division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our integrations, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
As the Software Integration Engineer you'll be responsible for:
- Representing software integration throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Performing all the SQA functions (integration case creation and execution, exploratory integrationing, integration plan and integration report creation).
- Heavily interacting with the development and quality teams to ensure the right integrations are being written and executed.
What You'll Work On:
- Complete software integrationing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process
- Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification integration cases (based on those requirements) and execute integration cases
- Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes.
- Perform exploratory integrationing, system level end to end integrationing, develop integration datasets and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality)
- Create verification and validation integration plans, integration reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality)
- Travel requirement: minimal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Moderate level of understanding of integration methodologies
- Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Preferred / Ideal / Optional Qualifications
- 2 - 4 years' med tech experience
- Experience with Alinity C or Alinity S
