As a Quality Engineer, you'll be embedded on one of our Compliance development teams consisting of around 25 other people. You will be engaged in feature development focused on US Compliance Payroll calculations, reproducing and testing customer-found defects, along with writing .NET and SQL test automation. You will also get to work directly with other Quality Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and occasionally our support teams in a highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to grow as a software tester and help instill in others a passion for quality enterprise development.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ability to execute and deliver on test plans and reports • Ability to understand Business Requirements and execute tests directly related to those requirements • Understanding of software development testing methodologies (Performance, White and Black Box testing) • Understanding of the development and execution of acceptance criteria • Ability to document test efforts and communicate results to a variety of technical/non-technical individuals • Will be required to work from one of our offices 3 or more days per week.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Computer Science/Business undergraduate degree or equivalent experience • Experience with the SDLC • Understanding of automated tests using C# or automated testing tool (Selenium, TestComplete) • Ability to code basic SQL and/or basic understanding of NoSQL databases • Create testing and training documentation. When possible, create training videos for other team members• Ability to coordinate with the QA team to design test strategy and execute testing of a completely new functional implementation and/or release regression• Understanding of Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum

• Self-motivated, positive team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude• Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Proven ability to communicate technical problems in practical terms• Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
