This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure software quality and reliability across new and existing applications. As a Software Tester, you will validate product functionality, identify and troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain thorough testing documentation. You will work closely with engineering and technical teams to improve product performance, while mentoring junior staff and guiding quality standards. This position combines hands-on testing with strategic oversight, allowing you to influence both immediate product outcomes and long-term process improvements. The role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Define, perform, and document software validation and testing for new and modified applications.
  • Investigate operational and process issues in collaboration with engineering and technical teams.
  • Apply quality controls for both in-house and vendor products, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Maintain test libraries, scripts, and quality records using test management tools.
  • Execute quality reviews and generate metrics reports to inform product development and decision-making.
  • Guide and mentor junior personnel on testing processes and quality standards.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or 6 years of relevant software development, testing, or quality control experience.
  • Experience with software development lifecycles, product verification, and validation processes.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive testing reports and coordinate project testing activities.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsers.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical and business audiences.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Quality Center) and project management is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in quality or testing (e.g., ISO Service Management, CSTP, ITIL) are preferred.
