The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Solution Architect to join our awesome team in one of our offices in Sydney or Melbourne. This person will be responsible for designing future-oriented and innovative eCommerce projects and solutions for our clients. An additional task of the role is to enable our clients in training sessions. We are looking for someone who really understands our technology and the technical processes and is able to communicate them in a simple and effective way. Your Mission:

• First point of contact for our customers towards all IT architecture-related questions

• Consulting and supporting of our customers and partners in defining technical requirements and comparing their business requirements with the technical possibilities of our platform

• Traveling to meet our global clients on-site

• Being in charge of architecture design: from solution finding to the final implementation of e- commerce projects (i.e. deriving functional requirements from our customers' business requirements) 

• Conception and implementation of specialist workshops

• Continuous coordination with all relevant stakeholders (customers, partners, developers and service providers)

• Technical validation and project consulting

• Support our sales team in preparing quotations when needed

• Support our Training team in the execution of training sessions for internal and external clients

What you need to succeed:

• An IT degree or university degree, e.g. in Computer Science or university studies

• Good understanding of business processes in the e-commerce industry

• Knowledge of ERP and warehouse management tools

• High tech affinity with applied programming experience (Java, NodeJS, .NET for instance), the ability to create basic technical concepts, architectural charts, interface descriptions, and product data models

• A high degree of customer orientation

• An overview of cloud technology

• Very good communication and presentation skills

• Structured and effective working style, both independently and in a team

• Multiple years of professional experience as a Solution Architect, Solution Engineer or in a similar role

• Applied experience and knowledge of service driven architecture and e-commerce system landscapes

• Willingness to travel around the world (less than 25%)
