Ibotta is looking for a Solutions Architect to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As part of the architecture team, you will work with other architects, engineering directors, business development, and project managers to successfully onboard and launch our Ibotta Performance Network partners. We're looking for a self-motivated individual who has a real passion for integrating technologies, solving challenging problems, and helping other companies architect innovative solutions using our Rewards as a Service platform. Every Solution Architect has input into our product process and will have a real impact on the success and speed of partner onboarding.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with a cross-functional team, including representatives from technology and the business, to design integration solutions and onboard retailer and publisher partners onto the Ibotta Performance Network (IPN).

  • Analyze current interfaces used within the company and determine ways to improve, based on partner feedback.

  • Work closely with the project management team(s) to successfully monitor the progress of our partner integrations.

  • Provide detailed specifications for any custom proposed solution.

  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.

  • Contribute to our Partner Dashboard, writing technical documentation that helps our partner onboard faster, and understand our systems better.

  • Provide feedback to the Platform team on missing or nice-to-have functionality.

What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and style for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Someone with ideally a consulting or contracting background, who can communicate effectively and professionally with clients. 

  • Comfortable consolidating ambiguous requirements into tangible action-items that can be relayed to the engineering and product teams.

  • Comfortable with fast paced environments, ability to adapt to changing environments, and lead amidst ambiguity.

  • Technical leadership skills are essential.

  • Well-organized, resolute, and goal-oriented in terms of achieving objectives and key results while keeping the bigger organizational goals and successes in mind.

  • Professional experience interacting with other companies and their high level executives

  • Advanced knowledge of distributed systems.

  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.

  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.

  • Working knowledge of asynchronous and event based architecture.

  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.

  • An understanding and knowledge of high throughput systems.

  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs.

  • Comfort working within a cloud-based infrastructure, ideally AWS.

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity.

  • Base compensation range: $160,000 - $180,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base compensation. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
