Summary:

The Solutions Architects are responsible for developing and producing technology solutions as part of the deliverables of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and project lifecycle and enterprise software development life cycle (eSDLC) methodologies. This role provides expert level guidance through the use of the organization's Guiding Principles and utilize critical thinking to further the Target State Architecture across the organization. A Solutions Architect will sponsor and author project level approaches that are used by the organization to estimate impact of the initiatives from a people, process and technology perspective, while providing high level and detail level designs that are used to ultimately plan, develop and deploy. The Solution Architects are an integral part of the modern delivery methodology, acting as primary interface between the agile teams and the OCTO.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Level I:

• Provides leadership in determining technology impact through the sponsorship and authorship of project level approaches.

• Able to combine business and technology knowledge to translate business requirements into technology solutions.

• Provides leadership in the development and authorship of High-Level designs and Detail-Level designs.

• Contributes to the Target State Architecture of the technology ecosystem through defined and approved Technology standards and strategies.

• Upholds the Strategic and Architectural integrity of the technology ecosystem.

• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders throughout the organization to introduce appropriate enhancements to the environment.

• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Level II: - In addition to Level I responsibilities:

• Leads solutions architecture efforts that drive major programs that span multiple technology and business areas.

• Sponsors and participates in initiatives such as Proof of Concepts (POC's) that drive modernization of the technology stack that can directly impact our constituents at the most fundamental level.

• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert across a technology discipline and/or a business discipline.

• Collaborates with Enterprise Architects to develop standards and strategies that directly contributes to furthering the Target State Architecture.

• Identify inefficient technical or business processes and recommend improvements through strategic or standardized technologies.

Level III: - In addition to Level I and Level II responsibilities:

• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert across multiple technology or multiple business disciplines.

• Drives and develops the creation of standards and strategies with Enterprise level Architects that directly contributes to furthering the Target State Architecture.

• Mentors at Technology and/or Business Architectural level.

Minimum Qualifications:

NOTE:

Level I:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field. In lieu of degree, six (6) cumulative years of experience required.

• Four (4) years System Engineering, Architecture, Integration or Development experience or relevant field.

• Working knowledge of production level experience with a contemporary software development tool set or systems/network administration tools and environments.

• Effective, clear and concise communication and process documentation skills.

• Ability to maintain a high level technical and business knowledge and expertise.

• Health plan or industry knowledge preferred.

Level II: - requires similar qualifications as level I, plus:

• Seven (7) System Engineering, Architecture, Integration or Development experience or relevant field.

• Recognized as a leader able to inspire others through conviction, vision, and the ability to formulate and articulate direction in the area of technology architectures.

• Interpersonal Relations - Sells approaches through the power of ideas rather than mandates.

• Ability to forge single-purpose commitment from others with disparate objectives.

• Ability to lead the Solutions Architecture discipline across groups of projects and strategic initiatives and programs.

Level III: - requires similar qualifications as level I & II, plus:

• Ten (10) years System Engineering, Architecture, Integration or Development experience or relevant field.

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale systems integration projects and programs.

• Demonstrated leader able to inspire others through mentorship.

• Ability to provide systems thinking across a broad range of technological and business topics to sponsor/recommend realistic solutions to complex issues.

• Expertise across a broad range of technology/business disciplines with the ability to apply at an ecosystem level to drive Enterprise class change and improvement.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to complete work in a traditional office environment under fluorescent lighting.

• Must be able to function while sitting at a desk viewing a computer and using a keyboard and mouse for 3 or more hours at a time.

• Must be able to travel across the enterprise.

• Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.

Level I: Minimum $78,900- Maximum $146,600

Level II: Minimum $88,800- Maximum $172,800

Level III: Minimum $99,900- Maximum $195,700

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in additional to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of Excellus's total rewards package.
