The Opportunity

• Thrive in a startup environment where you can make a huge impact
• Work closely with the founders and executive team to generate revenue
• Close large enterprise deals with the top global brands
• Serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor to our sales team, customers, and partners
• Understand and solve our customer’s business issues with the PDL Product Stack, and enable sales through our Partners
• A successful SE at PDL will focus on excellence; take the initiative to improve both themselves and the team through continuous learning and questioning the status quo

What Success Looks Like

• Serve as the technical point of contact for your accounts and account managers
• Develop a deep understanding of customers’ goals and objectives, and articulate how PDL products and solutions provide value
• Create and own value-based relationships at all levels in customer organizations
• Help coordinate data tests and assist our salespeople with using our testing tools
• Support ad-hoc data analysis and explain test results to customers
• Create collateral, contribute to programs, and collaborate with your PDL colleagues to meet individual client needs
• Be the ears of the sales organization to communicate needs, gaps, and enhancements to our engineering and leadership teams
• Drive education of both sales and technical skills by taking advantage of all the professional development opportunities provided by PDL

About You

• Professional Experience with:
• Python
• Elasticsearch
• Deep experience working with Big Data
• Value-Add Experience with:
• Data stores like Redshift, Azure, Mongo, etc…
• Advising customers on architecting a tech stack for Big Data
• Calling and interacting with Rest APIs
• Understanding of how the back end of an API works
• Data products
• Spark
• Ability to read code and digest logic for less technical members of the team and customers
• Articulate and sell the benefits of data
• Passion for being curious and a continuous learner
• History of successful customer relations where you developed an understanding of what made a difference, and devised architectures that helped meet a goal, tackle a problem, or outpace competitors
