Solutions Manager, Global Network Strategy & Operations

The Global Network Strategy & Operations (GNSO) team is responsible for developing partnerships that produce mutually beneficial results for Marqeta and our strategic partner organizations.  GNSO plays a vital role to deliver our vision to the market.  Key to this role will be understanding the network landscape, payments processing and an ability to align internal and external stakeholders.  You’ll be collaborating closely with the Marqeta extended team, including Business Development, Customer Success, Delivery, Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal and Technology.

Marqeta is looking for a Solutions Associate Manager who is an influential leader that collaborates cross functionally to gain alignment as Marqeta continues to scale and expand. The Solutions Associate Manager will thrive in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for finding ways to deliver superior products and services for our customers and stakeholders.

This role will focus on network product and solution enablement, including assessment and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a detail oriented influencer who can drive initiatives in a matrixed environment. You have an opportunity for tremendous impact as we scale the business.

• Build upon a solid understanding of network products, services and features 
• Assess network offerings and customer product requests, engage with key stakeholders to prioritize and address opportunities
• Engage with external network subject matter experts to provide clarity on network offerings
• Project manage network initiatives, drive resolution, and ensure accountability (internally & externally); responsible for significant, extremely complex, or unique cross-functional projects, issues, and outcomes where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. 
• Provide thought leadership to optimize network offerings
• Elevate messaging about network offerings across Marqeta
• Represents their area of the business by contributing their expertise to cross-functional projects in support of resolving challenges and blockers. Welcomes, seeks and rewards diverse input from peers and cross-functional partners to inform the direction and outcomes of the work. • Flexibility with schedule given working for US company based in California (though will work to respect time zones
• Foundation of integrity and strong character to consistently represent Marqeta’s values
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years experience with a minimum of 5 years in payments processing
• Proven project management skills from both a business and technical perspective
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard products, services and features
• Ability to bridge the language gap between business and technical teams
• Exercises independent judgment in strategy, methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results that impacts the business
• Operates as an owner and drives accountability for assigned tasks 
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables
• Solid communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written)
• Ability to travel: 10 - 20%

• Experience with Issuer Processing and/or Payment Networks
• Experience with JIRA and SalesForce
