Sourcing Procurement Analyst

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to help shape the Procurement Ops function at Box.  In this position you will provide support for the Sourcing and Procurement teams by building and analyzing reports for key business metrics, evaluate current source-to-pay processes, recommend solutions and implement/manage systems that add efficiencies to improve the internal customer experience.  We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid understanding of the Source-to-Pay operational processes, strong analytic skills, familiarity with innovative technologies, and the ability to transform business challenges into solutions.  This hands-on transformative role reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing for BUILD (direct). This position can be remote or based in Austin, TX or Redwood City, CA.

In this role, you will work closely with key partners such as Sourcing Managers, Accounts Payable, Enterprise Business Systems, Legal and the rest of the enterprise to advocate for continuously improving the procurement cycle and streamline efficiencies.    

• Serve as a Sourcing and Procurement Ops Analyst supporting the 3rd-party evaluation process, procurement process and supplier performance management program across Box, with a focus on Cloud providers

• Develop, analyze, report and monitor key Cloud contractual and business metrics

• Analyze data and metrics to provide operational recommendations to the business

• Partner closely with stakeholders to support and facilitate them through the 3rd-party evaluation process

• Be proactive and ready to anticipate and respond to contract compliance issues / supplier performance issues that impact the business

• Support and educate global procurement policy across the company, especially for the BUILD (direct) organization

• Recommend improvements to our global tracking of key documents (Contracts, Supplier Performance, Risks, etc.)

• Support procurement processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement

• Develop business relationships with internal partners with strong customer service focus and visibly demonstrating your dedication to improving processes and supplier performance

• Advanced analytic skills with proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel or Tableau

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or a related field with 2-3+ years experience in Sourcing or Procurement; Procurement Ops, preferred

• Working with Cloud contracts is a plus

• In lieu of Bachelors degree, certification with CIPS or ISM accepted or 2+ years in Sourcing or Procurement Ops

• Able to work independently with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Has demonstrated the ability to simplify a complex, cross-functional process 

• Able to influence, train, present to stakeholders at all levels

• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize
