Job description
CUCINA enoteca, a California-inspired Italian kitchen located in De Mar, is seeking a highly talented and motivated Sous Chef.
The Sous Chef will work alongside the Head Chef, possessing a keen sense for offering high-quality food to our guests every day. A strong ability to manage costs, make smart decisions and lead a team of dedicated cooks and prep folks is absolutely critical.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of culinary supervisory experience required.
• Minimum of 6 years of cooking experience in an upscale dining establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of all stations and techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen.
• A desire and ability to learn and grow in the position and within the company.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours.
• Ability to carry and/or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays (the restaurant is open for dinner service only and closed on Mondays.)
Pay Rate: $23/hr + Tips
