Sr Analyst, Pricing

As a Senior Pricing Analyst at United Rentals, you will work to maximize profitability by identifying pricing opportunities and implementing effective strategies. You will develop, interpret, analyze and help implement complex business strategies. You'll also perform analysis on customer and equipment data to improve decision making and to aid in the development of action plans. You'll partner with the regional sales and operations team in development, analysis, and implementation of regional pricing strategies.

Additional duties include the following:

• Work with local market teams to develop and maintain a strong understanding of market factors contributing to market pricing performance
• Develop project plans, conduct necessary research, and lead analysis of operating, customer, and financial data
• Partner with district/regional teams to develop a pricing strategy in support of go to market strategy
• Utilize pricing optimization engine (Zilliant) to develop and issue pricing guidance
• Develop, interpret, and distribute in market reporting highlighting rate acceptance and price compliance
• Evaluate local contractual pricing agreements and provide analysis and insight to local market teams
• Assist local sales teams in the creation of contractual pricing proposals
• Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business is required. MBA preferred
• Minimum four to six years, finance, pricing analytics experience
• Strong analytical skills
• High sense of urgency
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, as well as written, presentation and oral communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and Tableau Visualization Software
• Strong customer service and problem resolution skills
