Desktop software management and engineering focused on developing and packaging applications for distribution, working with our key Business Unit leads. Ensure all components of the the distributions are maintained within operational and security compliance rules, meet key BU functionality requirements, while driving operational improvements, customer satisfaction, and sharing best practices. Own distribution and packaging system services, application and software testing, and liaise with PM's and Requesting groups. Support and maintain Operating System deployments, across the organization, providing appropriate modifications to address Business Unit uniqueness.

Job responsibilities include

Application packaging using latest tools and best practices.

Operating System design and management of multiple OS and configurations.

Responsible for translating requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex technical solutions using System Center, specifically SCCM and SCOM

Expanded management capabilities using Intune and Cloud Management Gateway.

Application packaging & deployment

OS and application patch management

Experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

Windows Automation and Management Scripting with PowerShell and VBScript

Advanced client support and troubleshooting

Experience with Microsoft Bitlocker and TPM technology

PKI experience

Implement changes with applications and test those changes to ensure accuracy; and work to accept and deploy the new solutions

Appraise existing processes and new requirements to establish methods to successfully implement integration services in the targeted environment(s)

Observe project reporting requirements, communicating progress and completion of assignments with Project teams and requestors

Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to cost modeling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflows and deliverables.

Partner with Business Units and Desktop Solutions to create application deployments that meet the goals of the Digital Workplace Strategy,

Ensure all OS distributions are maintained within operational and security compliance, working with all other groups within Digital Workplace to maintain compliance

Develop task sequences to ensure all patches, fixes and upgrades are deployed with the minimum of end-user disruption within the OS build processes (discourage multiple reboots and manual end-user tasks, etc.)

Work with key engineering and packaging teams in providing a full range of desktop software management services, including owning the necessary infrastructure to package and deliver applications to the SOE and end-users

Help improve end-user application testing facilities, deployment rings and drive methodologies that eliminate unplanned outages during software releases

Partner with BUs to maintain the currency of software on all end-user devices (patches, fixes, upgrades, etc.) with a particular focus on patches and upgrades to maintain security compliance

Able to build standard Images and maintain them using Industry Standard tools

Create OS Build Task sequences that provide Business Unit variations while still maintaining core standards.

Education:

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $152,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
