This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of workforce transformation, coalition building, and national systems change. You will be responsible for leading the growth, strategy, and revenue generation of a flagship national coalition focused on expanding skills-based hiring and economic mobility for workers without four-year degrees. The role combines external-facing partnership development with internal strategy execution, requiring close collaboration across engagement, communications, marketing, and resource mobilization teams. You will work with senior executives across employers, philanthropy, workforce organizations, and policy ecosystems to expand membership and deepen coalition impact. This position demands both strategic vision and hands-on execution, as you will shape how the coalition scales, generates revenue, and delivers measurable outcomes. Accountabilities:
Lead the strategic growth, revenue development, and ecosystem expansion of a national coalition advancing skills-based hiring and workforce equity.
- Drive coalition growth strategy, including recruitment of new members across employers, workforce organizations, technology partners, and philanthropic institutions
- Develop and execute revenue generation strategies through membership, sponsorships, partnerships, and earned-income models
- Build and manage high-value relationships with senior executives, funders, and ecosystem stakeholders
- Translate coalition strategy into actionable plans that deliver measurable engagement, revenue, and mission impact
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration across engagement, communications, marketing, and resource mobilization teams
- Represent the coalition in external forums, conferences, and high-visibility events as a senior spokesperson
- Design and refine coalition structures, value propositions, and engagement models to support long-term growth and retention
- Align narrative, brand, and strategic positioning to strengthen the coalition’s influence within the workforce ecosystem
- Track performance metrics and ensure accountability for growth, engagement, and financial sustainability
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in coalition building, strategic partnerships, business development, or ecosystem engagement
- Proven track record of closing revenue through membership, sponsorship, corporate partnerships, or philanthropic funding
- Experience designing and scaling networks, coalitions, or movements with both structured and organic growth strategies
- Strong understanding of the U.S. workforce ecosystem, including employers, workforce development organizations, and policy stakeholders
- Demonstrated executive presence with experience representing organizations in public forums, media, and high-level events
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with ability to align diverse teams toward shared outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex strategy into clear narratives for senior stakeholders
- Systems-level thinker with the ability to connect growth, engagement, and impact strategies
- Strong coaching and leadership skills, with experience managing or influencing senior-level teams
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing, mission-driven environments
- Deep commitment to workforce equity and skills-based hiring principles, particularly for STARs populations
- Fully remote position within the continental United States
- Approximately 10–15% travel for leadership meetings, partner engagement, and national events
