Sr Manager, Engineering - Competitive Business Unit

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to coach our engineering teams as they build products for our North American market. We support teams and organizations across all sports at the high school, small college and amateur club levels. Our tools are mission critical for our customers—everything we do enables them to work better, faster and more efficiently. The two direct teams you’ll manage are working to develop vital products for data collection and analysis, and drive site-wide infrastructure improvement projects.

Ideally, you’re a self-motivated engineer with management experience and a background in full-stack web development, or desktop/mobile app development. You’ll be managing a diverse team of engineers and team leads as they develop, test and maintain solutions to technical problems. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll be expected to balance a level of individual contributor work to meet your team’s commitments. In terms of stack, we’re mostly C#, Typescript and ReactJS, but we definitely don't expect you to be an expert, or even have experience with all of this.

• Manage engineers and engineering managers. You’ll be responsible for coaching, developing and serving the engineers and engineering managers on your team.
• Own the problem. You’ll work in an autonomous squad that has the freedom and expertise to deliver the best solution.
• Deliver great user value. You’ll work on one of Hudl’s most innovative products that is changing the way coaches prepare for and stay ahead of the competition.
• Be an involved team member. You’ll participate in project planning and roadmapping, while being the accountable engineering presence on a cross-discipline team working on enterprise level systems.
