Sr QA Automation Engineer - Remote US

Seamless.AI is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for a passionate, experienced engineer with a strong background in programming combined with a passion for software quality and test automation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience implementing an automated testing strategy at all layers of the application, especially at the API and UI layers. They will also possess both the desire and the capability to help build that expertise in others and provide mentorship to their peers.

• Design and develop automated tests in a web-based environment using automation tools and scripting tools like Selenium, Java, TestNG
• Review requirements and participate in architecture/design reviews with an emphasis on test automation strategy and enforcement of excellent coding standards
• Maintain quality automation code to ensure testing outcomes remain valid for new or changed requirements
• Conduct test automation code reviews and evangelize test automation best practices to the entire engineering organization
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and build test plans
• Manually test application components where automation is not a good fit
• Capable of building, deploying and managing the automation testing environment
• Make recommendations on how our current testing processes can be improved

• 5 or more years experience developing API and/or UI test automation projects using Selenium and Java.
• 5 or more years experience in an Agile, highly collaborative, team-based environment
• Strong understanding of web and browser technologies
• Experience integrating automated testing processes with Continuous Integration
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Experience using source control solutions such as Git/GitHub
• Familiarity with JavaScript and JestJS for unit testing
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to independently plan and drive a project
