About Us
Nest Data Lake manages Yahoo ad revenue and is critical for the success of the company. We arelooking for a Software Engineer to join our team and be responsible for large-scale feature development and support for our business, consumer, finance, and research organizations.
About You
You are a world-class, highly motivated, and passionate engineer interested in joining our team. You will have the opportunity to help develop solutions using big data technologies to implement large-scale data manipulation and machine learning solutions, to long-term data storage, reporting, and analytical systems.
Your Day
You will spend your days doing things like:

• Working through documents and conversations with colleagues to understand product requirements for new features
• Shaping requirements into design documents and software implementation
• Testing and debugging both your own software and some written by others
• Analyzing and refactoring existing software to enhance its reliability, performance, supportability, and operability
• Playing with your friends in some of our local games and contests, from trivia to table tennis, puzzle building, escape rooms, and more.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Flink, or Storm including a deep understanding of map reduce concepts.
• A solid Computer Science foundation in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, machine learning, and modern software engineering practices.
• CS degree or a similar experience
• The ability to use an object-oriented programming language like Java or C++, scripting languages like Python or Perl, and Unix or Linux systems.
• The ability to work with large-scale distributed systems
• Minimum 4 years of Software development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Public cloud experience (AWS or Google Cloud)

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $97,500.00 - $162,500.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives.
