Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer focused on building highly available, large-scale, low latency data platforms to join our engineering team. You should be a talented, and motivated candidate who will get involved immediately by solving problems and
collaborating with the team to build out the platform.

About the Job
You will join an existing team who are building a well-defined product vision. The team operates in a highly collaborative way, and you will be involved in all aspects of design, delivery, and support of the team’s products. You will work with the whole team on adding features to the product continuously, and iteratively. You will collaborate with existing teams to learn our domain, and its unique challenges, while providing value to our customers. You will also collaborate with other KBRA engineering teams, and enablement teams (platform, security, and UX, for example) to develop, build, run and support our products.

Technical:

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience with Node.js
  • Experience working with enterprise systems, in an agile environment
  • Relational and non-relational databases
  • ETL Processes
  • Data modeling
  • Automated Database Migrations
  • Experience with containerized deployment (Docker)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
  • AWS (DMS, RDS, S3)
  • Disaster Recover/Data Recovery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in working with Event Streams
  • Pub/Sub experience

• Integrate features into the product, using (and improving) our CI/CD pipelines
• Overall technical quality of the product continues to improve
