Description
We're seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineer - Platform to help us build better user experiences for our retail consumer and B2B e-commerce platform. We're also improving our internal Operations portals and automation. Our engineers work on full stack solutions with a strong emphasis on SOA leveraging modern technologies and SDLC.
As a founding member of our Platform Engineering team you'll help us build modern React / next.js based web applications, with GoLang, NodeJS, or Python middle tier micro-services running within our AWS cloud. You'll add value for our customers and our staff while consistently and rapidly shipping high quality code and features to our platform.
The job responsibilities include understanding and evaluating our current platform technology stack, and helping architect and engineer new platform features to support our existing retail customer base, and to enable scalable B2B platform growth. We'll be ripping off the "duct tape and strings" to build internal tooling and portals to facilitate our Operations, Merchandise, and Fulfillment teams.

This fully remote role is open to candidates in most states. Working remotely from a primary residence outside the United States is currently not permitted for this role.

Requirements
Who you are:

• Have experience developing full stack solutions with a major programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, GoLang, Ruby or Python).
• Have significant experience with front end development in React, next.js, and CSS, with strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and VueJS.
• Have middle-tier SOA experience and skills designing and writing micro-services in GoLang (preferably), Python, or RoR, etc.
• Have experience implementing testable code and unit tests in the UI codebase and middle tier services. We focus on quality vs quantity as we implement our test and evaluate our coverage.
• Bonus if you have experience with containerized services via docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with headless eCommerce platforms such as Shopify is desired but not required.
• Have experience working with Docker, AWS Technologies, MySQL, Lambda (Serverless), and comfort interacting with AWS resources via Console, SDKs, and the CLI.
• You have a desire to drive platform architecture, design, and implementation, and can communicate architectural concepts succinctly.
• You have a strong passion for new technologies and driving innovation.
