This role sits at the core of enterprise IT infrastructure, responsible for designing, operating, and evolving the internal platforms that power engineering and business operations at scale. You will lead the reliability, automation, and security of Linux-based systems across both on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical services. Acting as a senior technical authority, you will drive infrastructure-as-code adoption, strengthen automation frameworks, and modernize platform operations through tooling and scripting. This position blends deep systems expertise with cloud and hybrid infrastructure knowledge, requiring a strong security-first mindset and a passion for operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with CloudOps, Security, and Engineering teams while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. This is a highly technical, hands-on role in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment where reliability and scalability are essential.

You will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining a secure and highly available enterprise platform infrastructure:

• Architect, deploy, and support large-scale Linux-based infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring reliability and uptime of critical systems.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to standardize and automate platform provisioning.
• Design and implement automation frameworks for system deployment, configuration management, and IT service delivery using scripting and version-controlled workflows.
• Enforce system-level security practices including patching, hardening, and compliance-driven configuration management.
• Build and optimize deployment pipelines for infrastructure services, system images, and platform configurations.
• Serve as a senior Subject Matter Expert collaborating with IT, Security, CloudOps, and Engineering teams on scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Manage and support enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell PowerStore, Pure Storage), ensuring performance, capacity planning, and data protection.
• Participate in on-call rotation supporting mission-critical infrastructure services with strong documentation and runbooks.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for automation workflows, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, contributing to team capability growth and operational maturity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings deep systems expertise and strong automation experience, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalable infrastructure:

• 8+ years of experience in Linux systems administration or equivalent enterprise infrastructure engineering roles.
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux distributions (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu) and command-line tools.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and shell scripting for automation and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, along with Git-based workflows.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-prem virtualization and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
• Experience with enterprise storage systems, ideally Dell PowerStore and Pure Storage.
• Security-first mindset with experience implementing hardened and compliant infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
