Job Summary: The candidate will plan and oversee the development of systems of systems architecture, software, hardware, network, security, and database systems to customer specifications with minimal supervision.Program supports Army Intelligence training capability for the training, institutional development and experimentation communities and across all intelligence disciplines.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Interprets requirements and complex specifications to identify potential technical solutions for military flight simulators.
  • Evaluates the requirements against the system architecture components to identify the necessary components that need to be updated and provides a system level design for against the requirements.
  • Ensures adherence and conformance to schedule/cost requirements and to specifications through supervision of the verification, validation, testing and debugging of solutions.
  • Assists in the training of users in the operation of the system.
  • Coordinates with customer representatives to develop technical requirements from customer input, and then coordinates with subordinates to direct system and subsystem design and development to meet technical requirements.
  • This spans development, implementation, testing, documentation, and installation of hardware and software systems and equipment.

Required Skills:

  • Requires competence with systems/software/hardware design and development of large-scale networked systems, the application of software standards, industry quality assurance, quality control, independent verification and validation techniques, testing standards, and computer assisted software engineering techniques and design philosophies.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have demonstrable ability to lead and manage teams of ten to twenty personnel with minimal supervision, and to exercise independent judgment in task execution.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Twelve (12) years of experience solving complex Department of Defense engineering and technical problems in a senior level role.
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in the design and development of virtual flight training simulations to include knowledge of rotor craft flight concepts, aircraft systems, aircraft survivability systems, avionics integration, digital communications, computer generated forces, and distributed simulation concepts and interfaces.

Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
