Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated, expert UI Software Engineer, specializing in front-end user experiences using React/NextJs and Typescript to interact with a RESTful interface to allow our users to buy or sell a home. In this role, you'll be developing highly complex applications with a team goal of streamlining business operations and improving overall user experience. You will join a small expert team building server-side and front-end software for the systems that run the Listella marketplace.The ideal candidate will have a passion for building world-class software and a track record of success, creating highly scalable software systems. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, with experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs and pull requests.
What You'll Do• Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems.• Enhance our UI component library; drive UI standards and automated testing• Partner closely with UX Design, Customer Success, and Product Management as a strategic part of our product development engine• Deploy and maintain your services in Production; learn from real-world data and devise plans to improve the customer experience of our applications• You will interact with product and service teams to identify opportunities, discuss solutions, and take ownership for the full software lifecycle from idea to production and iterating thereafter• Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.• Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization.• Define, create and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective.• Mentor other engineers on the team to professionally help them realize their full potential.• Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
What You'll Bring• Minimum 7+ years of professional hands-on software development experience building web-based UIs for end users• Expert in UI technologies and frameworks: HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript ES6, React/Redux, UI Test automation• Proven understanding of micro-frontend architecture and client side composition methods• Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems• Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns• Strong skills surrounding the user experience• Eye for design and attention to detail
Experience constructing UIs that present complex technical concepts to non-technical users• Practical knowledge of working in Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code• Familiarity visualizing and interacting with internal and third-party APIs
Bonus:• General understanding of U.S. and international privacy laws and regulations, especially as it relates to database access and design• General understanding of applicable security frameworks• Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).

This is a full-time fully remote position, but candidates must reside in the United States and be available to work without visa sponsorship.
