Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing expert product advice/support in the process of executing new products or any enhancements to existing products. This position is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of life and annuity products, business platforms, and providing ongoing support of retail projects and initiatives. Responsibilities are inclusive of product training, development of product supporting checking tools and administrative system verification to ensure product integrity is achieved.
This position will be part of the Retail Product - Implementation Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that new products or any enhancements are correctly supported and supporting tools provided in order to implement on administrative and illustration systems properly
- Develop checking tools, calculators and models used to support products/riders
- Develop contract summaries
- Collaborate constantly with business partners to stay on top of changes in requirements
- Advise on plan setup and test plans
- Support the drafting and testing efforts for products and product features
- Support in drafting and reviewing contracts and riders
- Support and/or create competitive analysis tools/reports
- Collaborate across teams during projects and issue resolution
- Assist in improvement of processes and documentation
- Conduct peer reviews of product/feature checking tools
- Function as a subject matter expert in actuarial concepts
- Support marketing team with accurate tools/graphs needed to support collateral material/adreview
- Validation of test results and error resolution
- Validation of SOX audit controls
- Troubleshoot production incidents/remediation support
- Research and respond to policyholder questions/concerns
- Provide calculations for features not supported systematically (PHS)
- Provide support for automated and ad hoc reports
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required – Preferred in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related technical field
- 2-4 years of experience in financial services industry preferred
- Life insurance and/or annuity product knowledge is required with preference for Indexed UL and Fixed Indexed Annuity experience
- Strong technical, analytical, organizational, computer, and team skills
- Able to perform in a fast-paced production environment while addressing multiple projects and responsibilities at once

- Regular and punctual attendance
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
- Typical professional office environment with periods of extended sitting required
