The Senior Strategist role is part of the Digital Strategy Team within the internal creative agency department. It is made up of highly skilled and collaborative cross-functional partners that allow us to solve complex problems in innovative ways and create experiences that improve people's lives.

The Opportunity
The Senior Strategist role is part of the Digital Strategy Team within the internal creative agency department. It is made up of highly skilled and collaborative cross-functional partners that allow us to solve complex problems in innovative ways and create experiences that improve people's lives.
What You'll Work On
- Strategy owner of Pediatric Brand Strategy deliverables across Abbott's internal agency.
- Coach cross-functional team of Associate Strategists, Analysts, and Community Managers responsible for the cohesive execution of brand marketing strategies across all paid and owned digital marketing channels (search, web, social, ecommerce, display etc.).
- Own the creative briefing process: Write clear and insightful briefs that inspire breakthrough creative and align with strategic direction of brand partners. Play pivotal role in creative review process to ensure creative work is on brief/strategy.
- Create omni-channel, consumer-centric, strategic marketing solutions that seamlessly align to the Business objectives and drive positive ROI. Type of deliverables include: content & messaging strategies, positioning recommendations, consumer journeys, influencer strategy and activation plans.
- Expert ability to synthesize and interpret primary and secondary data and translate into actionable data-backed recommendations that demonstrate a deep understanding of the brands' goals, target audiences, category trends/opportunities, and industry pressures/threats
- Expert knowledge of digital trends and channel best practices as well as foundational strategic frameworks such as purchase funnel, feasibility matrices.
- Advocate for new media technologies/capabilities that have a synergistic fit into the Brand's marketing mix.
- Own relationships with internal and external creative and media planning agency partners to feed insights, brainstorm, and inspire breakthrough Big Ideas
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups include Field Sales, R&D, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Fulfillment, Public Affairs, Marketing, and Executive Management as well as external customers, vendors and agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field
5+ years of marketing strategy experience leading or guiding Brand Strategy in CPG or Health related industries
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to facilitate communication and share out of results and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment and lead strong teams through rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
