The Sr. EHS Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ensuring our associates are able to return each day to help us in our mission in healthcare.
This position is part of the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in Hematology and Urinalysis manufacturing and research operation located in the greater Miami area, with its locations in Kendall and Hialeah and will be onsite. You will be a part of the Environmental Health and Safety Department and report to the EHS Manager responsible for our Miami manufacturing and research operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Implement the vision for South Florida operations
- Drive continuous improvement in safety in manufacturing and research spaces
- Manage a diverse waste stream system
- Lead and support incident investigations and help drive preventative actions
- Communicate key leading performance indicators and help drive those metrics
- Provide input into corporate EHS standards and initiatives
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's Degree, Preferably in Health and Safety, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering, with 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree in same with 3+ years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the EHS discipline, OSHA, and EPA regulatory requirements
- Project Management experience
- Responsible for vendor management and EHS matrix reporting
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- FDA-regulated industry or medical device manufacturing experience
- ASP and/or CSP certifications
- ISO Audits
