Sr. Finance Manager - Experiences + Devices Margin Strategy

Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) Finance is at the forefront of Microsoft's cloud-first strategy. The MSIO Experiences and Devices (E+D) Finance team is responsible for margin strategy and investment optimization for E+D and Microsoft Cloud businesses. The team's charter is to build-out Microsoft's end-to-end cloud infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve both profit and gross margin growth.
As a crucial member of the team, you will support long term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition, while enhancing transparency into cloud infrastructure investments, and safeguarding shareholder value.ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to help enhance and shape the future of our Experiences + Devices, M365 and overall Microsoft cloud business through margin growth by focus on enabling infrastructure efficiencies and optimization to drive down unit costs and delivering high ROI.

• Lead E+D (Microsoft 365/Office 365, Windows 365, Search) Data center, Server CapEx and Azure consumption demand planning aligned with financial affordability
• Partner deeply with supply chain and capacity planning, and Azure demand planning teams on demand and capacity alignment
• Drive Finance perspective and influence in E+D Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Process
• Ensure operational excellence in integration of efficiency and optimization plans with demand and supply planning, and financial planning
• Drive senior leadership-oriented insights and reviews clearly communicating results, highlighting risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations impacting bottom lines in a timely manner.

QualificationsMinimum/Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
• OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
• OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree
• Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required
• Experience leading rhythms, processes, or projects across large stakeholder groups
• Understanding of the technology industry, particularly commercial public and private cloud services, business models and economics
• Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving technology and business model trends
• Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts
• Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis
