The Opportunity

This position works out of our Charlottesville, VA office.

The person hired will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis. They will also prepare financial plans and forecast reports based on performance expectations. In addition, they will gathers and publish financial information related to historical, current and future performance. They may also mentor junior members on their team in this role.

What You'll Work On
• Develops detailed global financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
• Monitors functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
• Prepares SOX revenue recognition supporting materials in support of month top revenue postings
• Prepares and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
• Performs financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternatives courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools . (e.g. EVA, NPV analysis).
• Evaluates new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, new products, tax planning and spending initiatives by modeling alternative financial scenarios (e.g. revenues, profitability etc).
• Prepares sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses and profitability by modeling changes in key variables (recommending appropriate course of action).
• Develops and utilize sound financial processes.
• Establishes and cultivates an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) in related field.
• 4 or more years of experience in similar area of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience
• Advanced education and /or certifications.
