About the position:
As the Global Payroll, Senior Specialist - will be accountable to manage payroll operations with the outsourced payroll vendor and ensuring accurate semi-monthly and monthly payrolls reporting for APAC region. Work closely with other functional areas to gather payroll inputs and actively participate in projects and initiatives that allow the improvement, efficiency, and harmonization of payroll processes.
What you can expect to do:Â
- Actively participate in the transition of internal staff payroll processes and streamline of APAC payroll processes to be conducted on one singular platform.
- Manage day to day activities of payroll for APAC Region, including regular and off cycle approvals and issue management. Provide prioritization of work assignments and service as payroll team escalation point to attend payroll inquiries for internal employees.
- Work closely with other areas as HR and Finance to collect and review payroll data inputs for assigned country payrolls.
- Monitor vendor payroll processing and compliance activities, review outputs for completeness and accuracy.
- Request funding of payroll, payroll taxes, third party payments as applicable.
- Deliver data/reports to internal teams (HR, Finance, third parties, statutory) on an accurate and timely basis.
- Communicate regularly with manager, team members, and stakeholders regarding tasks or internal projects status and opportunities to harmonize payroll processes.
What we are looking for:Â
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience
- 5-8 years of Payroll/Finance experience
- Global experience in payroll processing for 300+ employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills; problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on a time-sensitive fast-paced schedule
- Excellent time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to bring innovative analysis to projects and drive process improvements.
- Strong work ethic and integrity to safeguard private and personal data
- Experience in global payroll platform/systems such as Workday, ADP, and/or Celergo/Streamline
- Ability to provide information to internal employees on payroll processes and payroll results, as indicated on the employee pay slip
