Sr. IT Business Analyst
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Senior IT Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing IT projects from conception to completion, bridging the gap between business requirements and IT solutions, and mentoring junior IT Business Analysts. The role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and IT infrastructure, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor IT Business Analysts in the analysis and documentation of business processes and technical specifications.
- Develop detailed project plans and timelines for IT projects and communicate progress to stakeholders regularly.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand complex business needs and requirements and translate them into technical specifications for IT systems and applications.
- Work with development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and oversee testing to ensure proper functionality and usability.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the technical viability of proposed solutions and recommend options that meet business needs.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of documentation related to IT systems and applications, such as business process flows, technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and maintain awareness of potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT system design, development, and implementation, including project management experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent project management skills, with knowledge of methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and Jira.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software development processes, such as MS SQL Server, C#, and SDLC.
- Experience with data analysis tools, such as Excel, Pyramid Analytics or Power BI.
