JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Manager, Execution Strategy & PMO is a high-visibility role within Stanley Black and Decker (SBD) Procurement COE organization, responsible to manage the roadmap of sourcing events, supplier engagement and implementation of category strategies. Accountable to drive change management processes and ensure that all implemented processes are compliant with external regulations and internal procedures. The core objective of the team is to improve Category Strategy Approach and Wave Sourcing Program Management across the Tools & Outdoor and Industrial businesses.

This person will have a high visibility role in driving adoption of the Procurement Operating Principles and standard practices with a goal to drive down costs and optimize TCO. The role will be tasked with benchmarking and engraining a best-in-class approach to sourcing events (formal stage gated sourcing process for major events, cost modeling, global benchmarking, negotiation planning tools, etc.) and supplier engagements. Govern cadence of project meetings with Category managers and Purchasing managers. Align with finance to assure on progress tracking ensuring projects are delivering to the P&L in alignment with standard methodology.

The person will work closely with the Director, Global Procurement - COE Value Delivery. They will need to play an influencing role and work with the cross functional teams across Global Supply Management. This position will require working with our global internal stakeholders as well as our supply base to drive the next generation of Procurement innovation. This position will involve leading efforts on a global basis interacting with multiple geographies, work cultures and departments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive Wave Sourcing governance, rigor & best practices from market analysis to supplier selection and award, and in compliance with GSM Operating Model "Infinity"
  • Be a core member of the COE team driving value delivery, working closely with the development, deployment team on meeting GSM KPIs including Infinity adoption in Wave Sourcing and Supplier Reduction
  • Establish communication channels to ensure efficient escalation and problem-solving processes. Collaborate with Head of COE and Sourcing leadership to ensure procurement systems and operation alignment with overall procurement strategy, processes, and goals
  • Influence category management through Wave Sourcing program driving cross functional collaboration with procurement, engineering, finance, quality, supply chain and commercial stakeholders as needed.
  • Build the pipeline for Wave Sourcing program to meet targets set by the Global Supply Chain leadership team.
  • Support the overall Stanley Black & Decker strategy by establishing and enhancing the analytics capability of Global Supply Management and deliver insights that improve sourcing productivity and performance
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly scorecards that track internal and external {process} innovation based on created KPIs
  • Develop skill sets and reference material for "best in class" benchmarks, tools, and processes to be used as leverage points in major sourcing events

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 7+ years of supply chain, purchasing or equivalent operations experience
  • Power user of analytical tools - Excel, Power BI and database tools
  • Experience in Change Management or transformations or process excellence
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and executive communication
  • Must have a balance of both strategic and tactical capacities, including innovation, engineering, marketing, consumer insights and supplier collaboration and management
  • Experience in strategic planning and portfolio management, budgeting and financial reporting
  • Proven track record of improving delivery, lead times, and inventory with partners on a global basis
  • Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment, with understanding of the nuance of local needs and applications of SBD product lines

  • Experience leading diverse and remote teams
  • PMP, CPIM or CSCMP certification a plus

TRAVEL:

Must be willing to travel approximately 20-40% of their time.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or Masters is preferred. Engineering, Operations and/or supply chain knowledge required.
